Happy Ground Hog’s Day, and Happy Valentine’s Day, and just general happiness to all and sundry! For me February’s special days are the annual Westminster Kennel Club dog show, and the NBA All Star Game. It’s going to be a very busy month for me, so settling down in front of the television to watch fancy puppy dogs and tall young men in baggy underwear will be rewards for my labors.

January was busy as well. In January I finished revisions on "I Thirst for You", the second in my romantic vampire Primes series. ("I Thirst for You" is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com, by the way. It will be published in June.)
I also wrote an article for an upcoming Stargate SG-1 essay collection. It’s my favorite science fiction television series, so it was great fun contributing to the book. My article is about the use of popular cultural references to ground a show about saving the world from evil aliens in "our" reality. SG-1 is a great show. Check it out on the SciFi Channel, various syndicated outlets, and the MGM official website.

Stargate SG-1 Seasons 1 thru 5 are available on DVD. And coming in March 2004, Season 6. |

And in January I started writing the third Primes book, "I Hunger for You".
This month I have to write a 200 page novella for a paranormal romance Christmas anthology that will be out in November. That’s a lot of pages in a short time, but it’s a fun job. My story is set in my Primes universe, but features a werewolf rather than a vampire. I’ll post an excerpt and more information later in the year.
Also newly posted for your viewing pleasure is the cover of "I Thirst or You". Very hot! And some artwork based in the Primes universe by my friend Marj Ihssen – a pencil drawing of her interpretation of Alexander Reynard, the hero of "I Burn for You". I quite like this picture.

To celebrate the release of a DAW fantasy anthology, The Magic Shop, in which I have a funny, romantic short story, "Every Little Thing She Does", I’m giving away a copy of the book. To enter the drawing for The Magic Shop, drop an email to sgsizemore@msn.com with "Magic Shop" in the subject line. I’ll announce the winner on February 29, 2004.
