August 2003

Hope you are having a good summer. I’m working on two books, enjoying the weather, and going to summer blockbuster movies while waiting for the DVD of Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers to be released. Personal favorite so far this summer is Pirates of the Caribbean. Now, considering that I was once stuck for forty minutes on the ride at Disneyworld and nearly went mad as the animatronic drunken pirate at the spot where we were stuck kept going, "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty…" over and over and over and over…until I never wanted anything to do with Pirates of the Caribbean ever again, this is surprising. But it’s very funny movie, has some interesting twists, and Orlie, Johnny and Jeffrey are so cute! Besides, I don’t know a single writer who doesn’t wish she’d come up with the name Captain Jack Sparrow.

My main news for August is that this month my historical romance, TOO WICKED TO MARRY is being featured for discussion at the Romance Designs online historical romance bookclub. If you’re interested in joining this discussion, check it out at: http://romancedesigns.com/

I Burn For You

I’m also holding a drawing in August to win advanced reading copies of I BURN FOR YOU, the first of my vampire romance novels from Pocket. The book will be released in October, so enter the drawing by sending an email to me at sgsizemore@msn.com and get a chance to read the book early. Winners will be announced at the end of August.

Please send any email to sgsizemore@msn.com and not to the address that was previously listed on this website. I don’t know why, but I am having a great deal of trouble downloading mail from ssizemore@susansizemore.com. If you sent e-mail to that address, or tried to join the mailing list, I may not have been able to download the e-mail.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope whatever’s wrong will be fixed very soon.

Have a good month!

Susan
