Ah, April! Ah, Spring! Ah, the Final Four, the end of the regular NBA season, and on to playoffs! Easter! Passover! And let us not forget tax time! Anyway, it’s April.
Currently I am working on revisions for a novella called "A Touch of Harry". This story, along with a novella by Christine Feehan, will be in the Christmas anthology SHADOWS OF CHRISTMAS PAST. This book will be published in November, 2004. I’m delighted to have been invited into a project with Christine Feehan. I’m a huge fan of her work!
"A Touch of Harry" is about a werewolf missing persons detective, and is based in my Primes universe. An excerpt will be posted later in the year.
I’m also currently working on a short story for a DAW fantasy anthology, and writing the third vampire romance novel in the Primes universe. Busy, I am, and happy to be. But not so busy that I don’t have time for basketball games and movies. Saw HELLBOY on the opening weekend, and loved it. Also looking forward to the opening of KILL BILL VOL. 2, and VAN HELSING in May. The movie I’m really looking forward to is THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, but that doesn’t open until June. I guess I’ll just have to concentrate on writing my own paranormal adventure stories while waiting for movies to come out.
In March I went to Egypt for ten days, and spent some time in London, as well. It was – marvelous! Very much the trip of a lifetime, to a land that is both very ancient and modern. Egypt is also very different from my Midwestern home, and I appreciate learning about this place and the people. And the shopping was great, too! Here are some photos to show how beautiful and intriguing Egypt truly is.
